This item was a better with recommendation by Amazon. The cable won’t fit the Canon Scanner I bought The CanoScan scanner is USB powered and does NOT have a standard USB outlet on it. I changed my Amazon order to NOT include this cable as Canon supply’s the proper cable, but I was charged for one anyway.

This cable was listed with the Canon scanner that I purchased. The cable is not compatable with the scanner and is of no value to me. The only positive thing that I can say is that it was cheap and arrived on time

I NEVER RECEIVED THIS, even though the seller, when they did finally respond to emails, said it must have gotten lost in the mail and they would immediately resend. Nothing of mine had EVER gotten lost in the mail before and, looking at their feedback, they either do not ever send A LOT of items, constantly mis-address, or have REALLY angered the Post Office. Got my money back through Amazon’s guarantee, but wish I had never wasted my time! Buy from a better seller!

If you have a USB-powered device that requires a significant amount of current (e.g., a 2.5″ HDD), this 6 feet of USB cable might represent too much impedance to deliver sufficient power to the device. Depends on the power source and the device – not necessarily the fault of the cable, but buy the shortest practical length.
